Class Action

A Class Action lawsuit is a cause of action that allows individuals who have suffered common or similar damages to join together and pursue reimbursement while sharing costs of the litigation.

Engelmeyer & Pezzani has served as class counsel on numerous million dollar cases, including wage and hour, Missouri Merchandising Act and toxic tort claims.  In 2008 Engelmeyer & Pezzani, serving as class counsel along with a team of attorneys, settled the largest chlorine spill case in the history of the U.S. for $19 million dollars.  As a result of this settlement, over 300 residents and emergency responders from Festus, Missouri were compensated for personal injury and property damage caused by the release of 48,000 pounds of dry liquid chlorine.
